Villa Lapas - Manuel Antonio
Villa Lapas is like a beautiful orchid hidden amid the rainforests of Manuel Antonio. A wide entry and staircase lead down to the upper/bedroom level. Here there are 2 master suites, each with king beds and its own ensuite bathroom. Also on this level is a cozy sitting area which looks out over the pool area into the bamboo forest beyond, and has a double sofabed.
A gorgeous spiral staircase winds down to the lower level--where kitchen, dining and living areas know no bounds, and flow freely out to the covered poolside arcade. Here there is a dining table which seats up to 12 people, and a 55-inch smart TV. Stepping outside, the covered patio is a perfect place to hang out or dine, whether rain or shine. The patio communicates to the uniquely-shaped pool and also the spacious, new terrace with sunning loungers.
Below the sunning terrace is the apartment-- with two bedrooms (queen and double beds), a shared bath, and full kitchen with dining table for four. The spaces are much smaller than the main home, but the use of glass windows and sliding doors makes it feel like you're right in the rainforest. Outside the 'master' bedroom is an outdoor tub--a perfect place to get away after a day's activities.
The surrounding rainforest is rife with wildlife and part of a biological corridor The villa gets frequent visits from all the usual suspects--3 different types of monkeys, 2 different types of sloths, toucans, aracaris, iguanas, Jesus lizards, and of course--scarlet macaws.
